Chairman Ogbomoso United Football Club, Akinwale Akinwole, has described the remodelling of Lekan Salami Sports Complex by Governor ‘Seyi Makinde as one of the monumental achievements that will enhance talents discovery and development.
The stadium will be commission on September 1 by Governor Seyi Makinde.
The Ogbomoso born Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain popularly known as Wolekanle said apart from generating revenue for the state, the complex will also create an avenue for skilful players, athletes and others in activities in sport to showcase their talents.
He added that the upgrading of Stadiums in Oyo, Ogbomoso, Ibadan, Saki, and other towns in the state are pointers to the facts that governor Makinde is determined to revive, promote and engage youths through sports development.

“Speaking with journalists in Ibadan, on monday, the football enthusiast commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his genuine passion for the development of the state which he said he has demonstrated through his achievements in all sectors in the last two years.”
He maintained that the unprecedented record of achievements by Governor Makinde is not only attracting more people to the party but also positioning him and the party for a better chance of winning subsequent elections in the state.
“The people of Oyo state are conscious of the fact that Governor Makinde is doing well in term of good governance and we will all support him for the second term to consolidate on the foundation he has laid for the state and i am sure by the times he completes his eight years in office as governor ,the state would have been far far better than he met it.”
