Aaron Lennon is back in training with Everton.
As well as their throng of new signings, the ‘toffees’ were also boosted by the former Tottenham man’s return to Finch Farm.
The 30-year-old was given time off towards the end of last season amid reports of mental health problems, but was photographed smiling as the club returned to training on Monday.
Lennon was detained under the Mental Health Act after being found found by police near the M602 in Salford, but it seems his time away from football has helped.
Lennon will now presumably be looking to force his way back into the Everton side. The England international made just 13 appearances in all competitions last season but with Gerard Deulofeu’s return to Barcelona and the expected departure of Aiden McGeady there may be a gap to fill out wide in Ronald Koeman’s side.
