Lewandowski hopes to break Wroclaw no-goal jinx against Eagles

Poland superstar Robert Lewandowski will hope on Friday night to finally break his jinx of having not scored for his country in Wroclaw in six appearances.

Bayern Munich star striker Lewandowski has scored 51 goals for his country – an all-time goals record for Poland – but none of these goals have been scored in the city of Wroclaw.

He has played six times for ‘Whites and Reds’ in Wroclaw with no goals to show.

Lewandowski is expected to start tomorrow night’s game but he is not expected to complete it as both club and country have tried to control his game time so as to keep him “fresh” all the way to the World Cup.

Poland are ranked sixth in the FIFA Rankings, while Nigeria are a distant 52nd.

Tomorrow’s game will be the first time both Poland and Nigeria will clash at full international level.
