The Ladies’ Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) will, on February 14, 2026, in Abuja, host its inaugural kitty to usher in its president and the 2025-2027 executive council.
The event, scheduled to be held at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Golf Club, NAF Base, Airport Road, will mark the official start of activities under the new leadership. An onboarding retreat for LGAN leaders will precede the kitty on February 13 at the same venue.
LGAN President, Mrs Lami Ahmed, said the programme symbolises unity, growth and renewed commitment to women’s golf development nationwide.

“This inaugural kitty represents a fresh chapter for LGAN, built on inclusiveness, professionalism and shared passion for the game,” she said.
Ahmed described the onboarding retreat as strategic, saying it would align leaders with the association’s vision for the 2025 -2027 golfing season.
She expressed excitement over the expected presence of the chairman of the kitty event and former Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Engineer Andrew Yakubu, and the special guest of honour, Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, who is the Commission Chief Executive, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC)
