JURGEN KLOPP has whisked his Liverpool flops away to sunny Barcelona for what is thought to be a warm weather training camp – and not an early Christmas jolly.
The Reds, who inevitably dented their title hopes after their humiliating 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth on Sunday, were snapped landing at the airport for their two-day training trip.
Liverpool have dropped down to third in the Premier League table after Chelsea beat Manchester City at the Emirates and Arsenal ran riot against West Ham at the London Stadium.
Klopp will be hoping his side can bounce back next weekend when they host Slaven Bilic’s side at Anfield.
Goalkeeper Lorius Karius was blasted by television pundits for the horror show which saw Liverpool blow all three points deep into stoppage time.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville told Sky Sports that Klopp’s new No.1 ‘transmits anxiety’ and the Merseyside club would struggle to win the title with the German keeper in goal.
Speaking after the game Jordan Henderson told the club’s website: “That’s the one thing you’ve got to do: try and learn from it as best you can and use it for the next game.
“Obviously we’ll be disappointed for the next couple of days but we’ll get back on the training pitch, get back working hard, and focus on the next game.
“We’ve been brilliant so far this season but [on Sunday] we weren’t at our best and we were punished.
“You’ve got to give credit to Bournemouth, they kept going right until the end but we’ve got to learn from it quickly, move on and make sure we’re right at it in the next game.”
