Liverpool are willing to let Taiwo Awoniyi join another club permanently this summer and have placed a transfer fee of €9.3 million (N4.7 billion) on the former Nigeria U23 star, according to HardTackle.
The English giants signed Awoniyi, then a starry-eyed teenager, for a reported €1.1 million in the summer of 2015, shortly after the youngster helped Nigeria’s Golden Eagles win the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.
Work permit issues have, however, stopped Awoniyi from making a single appearance for Reds.
The 23-year-old has taken in several spells on loan in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, with FSV Mainz 05 paying Liverpool €500,000 to acquire the services of the Nigerian forward during the 2019/20 Bundesliga season.
Awoniyi spent the 2020/21 campaign at Union Berlin, where he produced five goals and four assists in 22 games across all competitions.

With his work permit finally granted earlier this year, the former Royal Mouscron man retained hopes he could finally be given a chance to make his breakthrough at Anfield.
But the Reds have other plans and have listed Awoniyi among players likely to be sold during this summer transfer window.
With a few EFL Championship clubs showing interest in the former Flying Eagles star, Liverpool will only let him join any suitor ready to cough out over €9.3 million for him.
The former Premier League champions have already rejected a bid of N2.5 billion (€5 million) from Belgian giants Anderlecht for the Nigerian striker.
Awoniyi is contracted to Liverpool until the summer of 2023.
