Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was pictured at Nou Camp with his players as Barcelona thrashed Borussia Monchengladbach in their final Champions League group stage game.
Klopp had taken his players to Barcelona for warm weather training following the 4-3 shock defeat at Bournemouth on Sunday.
But it appears as though a trip to Barca’s home was on the German manager’s itinerary given that the Catalan club publicised him and his squad’s attendance on Twitter on Tuesday night.
The La Liga club posted a picture of Klopp in the stands shortly ahead of Barcelona’s 4-0 battering of Monchengladbach.
‘Jurgen Klopp and the @LFC squad are at Camp Nou to see #FCBBorussia in the #UCL #FCBlive,’ was the caption that accompanied the image.
The English trio of Adam Lallana, James Milner and Jordan Henderson were spotted directly behind their manager.
Midfielder Lucas Leiva, who has played as a defender in recent weeks, happily took a selfie and showed off his phone cover, which rather oddly had an image of his face on the back. He was sat next to Roberto Firmino and Alberto Moreno.
Klopp was also pictured with Sebastian Kehl, the retired German footballer, who was the 49-year-old’s captain at Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool flew out to Spain after Sunday’s defeat, had a recovery session on Monday and trained on Tuesday morning.
Klopp and his players will fly back to Merseyside on Wednesday before preparing for this weekend’s Premier League action.
Liverpool, who are third in the table, host West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday.
Central defender Joel Matip is expected to be included in the squad for the game after missing the Bournemouth match with an ankle injury.
Matip, who signed from Schalke, came through the training session in Spain on Tuesday unscathed.
