Liverpool’s Gomez is back fit and hoping for a fresh start

Liverpool defender Gomez has only made ten appearances for Liverpool due to knee and Achilles injuries.

Gomez is 100 percent fit and desperate to make the most of the coming season after a couple of serious injuries. The 20-year old did not play a single Premier League game last season due to injury.

Last year, he made just three appearances. Nevertheless, Gomez was back at Liverpool for pre-training on Wednesday for a series of fitness tests and assesments and he is looking forward to start the new season.

“I am in a good place mentally and physically. I see it as a fresh start”, he said.

Gomez signed for Liverpool in 2015 and made seven appearances under Brendan Rodgers. Unfortunately for him, a serious knee injury ended his season.

Under Klopp his participations has been limited once again due to an Achilles injury. Though he’s hoping for an injury-free campaign this time out.
