Lloris calls for Tottenham to stay consistent

Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris has called on his side to stay as consistent as possible when they continue their Premier League push.

Hugo Lloris has called on his Tottenham team-mates to maintain their consistency and build on the club’s second-best start to a Premier League season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won nine of their opening 12 league games this season and sit fourth in the table, five points behind leaders Manchester City.

Lloris insisted Tottenham are ready for another top-four battle, but believes improvements are still needed.

“I think the key is to stay as consistent as possible all through the season,” Lloris said.

“At the moment in the league we are in a good position. It is maybe one of our best starts of the last few years.

“We are in a good position and we need to carry on in the same way and try to improve the way we play.

“We are still competitive and we will be ready for top four challenge.”

Tottenham face a tricky run of games after the international break, hosting Chelsea in the Premier League and Inter Milan in the Champions League before a trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the first north London derby of the season.
