Maguire gets married to long-term partner Fern in secret

England and Manchester United star, Harry Maguire was marrying his long term partner in a hush hush ceremony today.

The United captain left training at the club’s Carrington training ground shortly after midday to head straight to the Registry Office ceremony, where fiancee Fern Hawkins was waiting for him.

It is understood guests were told the venue of Crewe Registry Office in a text message earlier today.

The couple, who met while they were teenagers more than 10 years ago, kept the details secret from all but their closest family and friends.

They will take their marriage vows again in France this summer at a romantic ceremony held at a chateau.

Maguire looked smart as he arrived shortly before 3pm.

He was joined by his parents, Zoe and Alan, who travelled from their home near Sheffield for the ceremony.

“It was a closely guarded secret to all but their closest family and friends,” said a source.

“They wanted to be officially married in the UK before they head to France.

“That will be a fairytale wedding day for Fern.” Harry’s sister Daisy, 21, will be bridesmaid at the ceremony in Burgundy.
