Make Oyo proud at National Youth Games, Rep Olajide charges contigents

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency of Oyo state at the National assembly has charged the Oyo State contingent to excel at the National Youth Games holding in Asaba, Delta State.

Hon. Adedeji Olajide while speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, teamwork and wished the athletes success at the games.

The federal lawmaker urged them to be good ambassadors of Oyo State, exhibit good sportsmanship and strive for excellence in all their endeavors.

“Remember, your participation in this competition is not just about winning medals, but also about building friendships, learning from each other, and growing as individuals.

“I urge you all to make Oyo State proud and put Oyo State on the global sports map.

“Your success at this competition will be a testament to the state’s investment in youth development and sports,” he advised.

While expressing confidence in the Oyo State contingent, comprising 250 athletes and 58 officials, which will compete in 28 sports, including ball games, Olajide, a two-term lawmaker and ranking member of the National Assembly from Oyo state, stressed that the National Youth Games will provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents and develop their skills in preparation for the future ahead of them.

“I have no doubt that our contingent will make a significant impact at the games.”

“You have our support and the good people of Oyo state are rooting for you”, he said.
