Man U on revenge mission against Chelsea —Pogba

PAUL Pogba hopes Manchester United get their pound of flesh from Chelsea when the English Premiership leaders visit Old Traffofd today.

Chelsea have inflicted defeat on Jose Mourinho’s men on the two occasions they have met at the Stamford Bridge this term and Pogba believes that today’s fixtures offers just the opportunity to make a statement.

“We have to be focused and get ready and show them revenge, it’s revenge for us. So, let’s be positive about it and hopefully go and win this game,” Pogba told MUTV.

“Obviously they are ahead of us, they’re playing for the title and, for them, it’s important to win this game, for us as well, because we’re playing for the top four as well, so it’s going to be a game that’s really important for each team.

“They have a great team and everybody knows that. When you’re playing in the Premier League, you have to have a bit of luck as well but you create the luck,” Pogba said.

“They have a manager who pushes them and they have players who want to show the world that Chelsea are still alive and, last year, that didn’t happen. But you never know, that’s what the beautiful thing in the Premier League. You never know what’s going to happen. They’ve done good this season.’

Pogba is wary of Chelsea’s defensive strength with United yet to score against them in their meetings so far.

“We know that Chelsea, defensively, are very good. The formation they have, they know exactly what to do. It was exactly the same at Juventus when [Antonio] Conte was there, you know his training was always the same so the players know what they’re going to do.

“Tactically, he doesn’t want to concede a goal. We haven’t scored a goal yet against Chelsea so, hopefully this weekend, we will score and we have to.”
