Man Utd fans demand Mourinho sack

Jose Mourinho is clearly rocked after failing to set the world alight so far in United’s pre-season tour and after losing 4-1 to Liverpool on Saturday, he channelled some of his frustration at Antonio Valencia and Anthony Martial.

Martial started both of United’s opening matches in the US before being allowed to leave to attend the birth of his second child.

And his Ecuadorian team-mate’s current physical condition has disappointed his boss

“Antonio Valencia comes from holiday – I think too much holiday for him. His condition was not good when he was back, then an injury,” Mourinho told MUTV.

“Anthony Martial has the baby and after the baby is born – beautiful baby, full of health, thank God – but he should be here and he is not here.

“So we have Alexis [Sanchez] and [Juan] Mata who play every minute of every match and now we have Real Madrid and after that Bayern Munich and that’s our start.”

His comments were discussed on ESPN last night, where US women’s player Kate Markgraf slammed Mourinho, branding him “crazy” for bashing his own players. The clip was uploaded to YouTube, where it has racked up 8,000 hits and Red Devils fans have called for the 55-year-old to be sacked for his savage comments.

“Jose is a disgrace and should be kicked out by the club,” one claimed. Another added, “He is a fraud and ruins every team he goes to.” A third suggested, “Mourinho is depressed and taking it out on his players – he must be sacked.”

United face Real Madrid on Wednesday, followed by Bayern Munich on August 5.

They will then have just under a week to sort their squad out before the transfer window slams shut and the Premier League begins again and Mourinho has already made a big claim over his transfer activity issues.
