Sanchez did not star for United in Sunday's 3-2 loss against Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.
Alexis Sanchez has deleted two tweets after they sparked an angry reaction from Manchester United fans following Sunday’s shock defeat by Brighton.
The Chilean forward is currently out of action with an injury and missed the fixture, which United lost 3-2 at the Amex Stadium.
On Monday two tweets – one a video, the other a series of pictures – were posted from Sanchez’s official Twitter account as the former Arsenal man launched his first fashion collection: Alexis by JJO.
In the video, Sanchez could be seen lounging about on a chair topless before checking himself out in the mirror. The pictures meanwhile featured him posing alongside a female model.
Manchester United fans reacted badly to the timing of the social media posts, coming so soon after a shocking Red Devils display.
Of course Sanchez played no part in the defeat by the Seagulls, but it seems many believed the posts sent out the wrong message.
One supporter responded to the tweet, writing: “Is this why you missed the game yesterday?” While another added: “Everything that’s wrong with the modern players right there, your team just lost yesterday you know.”

Sanchez left the posts on both his Twitter and Instagram pages for around half an hour before deciding to take them down.

Jose Mourinho was unable to put a date on when Sanchez will be back in action for Manchester United.
Speaking after Brighton, he said: “I don’t know really. Let’s wait for the results of the studies. But I don’t think it’s a big thing. I think it will be one or two weeks maximum.”
