Manchester City’s Kyle Walker cleared of indecent exposure charges

Manchester City and England defender, Kyle Walker, has been cleared of any criminal charges over an alleged incident of indecent exposure.

The investigation was launched by the Cheshire Constabulary after CCTV footage published by The Sun showed Walker and his friends at a venue where he apparently pulled down his trousers. The newspaper alleged that he indecently exposed himself, and the incident was said to have occurred on March 5.

However, the case has now been closed after Walker voluntarily attended a police station on Thursday, and the police released a statement on Friday saying that the matter had been dealt with by an out-of-court disposal.

Walker, who is 32 years old and from Prestbury, was named as part of Gareth Southgate’s 25-man England squad on Thursday for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine. The news will come as a relief to both Walker and England fans, who will be hoping to see him in action during the tournament.

It is not yet clear what impact if any, this incident will have on Walker’s future with Manchester City. The club has not commented on the matter, but it is possible that they may take disciplinary action against him.

Walker has been an important player for City since he joined the club in 2017, helping them to win several trophies including the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Carabao Cup.
