Manchester United will beat Arsenal even with a weakened team ―Roy Keane

Roy Keane believes his former club will beat Arsenal even if they play a weakened team

MANCHESTER United have enough talent to beat Arsenal even with a weakened team, according to former captain Roy Keane.

United travel to face the Gunners at the Emirates on Sunday in a must-win Premier League clash, with both clubs still chasing a top-four finish.

Jose Mourinho’s side are just one point behind fourth-placed Manchester City, although the Old Trafford club could also qualify for next season’s Champions League if they win the Europa League

United face Celta Vigo in two semi-final legs either side of the Arsenal game and Keane believes Mourinho will look to prioritise Europe over the remaining domestic fixtures.

‘It is clear that his priority is trying to win the Europa League and guarantee Champions League football,’ Keane told ITV.

Jose Mourinho could look to rest key players with the Europa League semi-finals in mind

‘I think he is right. With the way the last week has gone, prioritise winning a trophy, definitely.’

Arsenal are six points outside the top four and must beat the Red Devils if they are to have any hope of qualifying for the Champions League for the 20th successive season.

However, Keane expects United to beat the Gunners, even if Mourinho decides to rest key players for the second leg against Celta Vigo.

‘Even a weak team would probably still beat Arsenal,’ Keane said. ‘They can afford to do that.’
