Mark Hughes: This is what I think of Leicester’s survival chances

MARK HUGHES says anyone tipping Leicester to go down is stark raving mad.

The Stoke boss has the struggling champs in his sights today but says there’s no way Claudio Ranieri’s men will be relegated.

Hughes said: “They can put anybody away – you saw that in the way that they dispatched Manchester City.

“It’s very difficult to win back-to-back titles, but go down? I’m not going along with that one.

“They’ve still got some really good players and I can’t see them being in a struggle whatsoever.”

Leicester have just one away point from eight games on their travels as their title defence hits a roadblock.

But Hughes reckons Ranieri and his players were prepared for a tougher time this season.

He added: “The Leicester story last season was wonderful to watch. They were the best team by far.

“I knew it would be difficult for them this season and I’m sure they did as well.”
