Maurizio Sarri targets Napoli quartet for Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri is reportedly planning to bring four Napoli players to Chelsea, should the coach sign as the Blues’ new boss.

Sarri, who has allegedly been in London this week for talks about taking over at Stamford Bridge after leaving the Serie A outfit, is also said to have finalised his coaching staff ahead of his imminent appointment as Antonio Conte’s successor.

According to The Mirror, Sarri wants to bring striker Dries Mertens, full-back Elseid Hysaj, winger Jose Callejon and defender Raul Albiol to West London once his move is finalised.

The newspaper adds, however, that talks between Manchester City and Napoli over a transfer for Jorginho could stop Sarri taking more talent away from the club, with the Italian giants keen to keep hold of their star players.

Sarri spent three years at Napoli after joining the club in 2015.
