Messi on bench for Barcelona at Inter

It is widely reported that Lionel Messi will start Barcelona’s match at Inter on Tuesday night on the substitutes bench.

Reports across El Mundo Deportivo and Diario Sport believe Ernesto Valverde’s side will remain unchanged from their 3-2 win at Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

The Argentine star was surprisingly included in the travelling squad to Northern Italy despite suffering a fractured arm just two-and-a-half weeks ago.

Messi was expected to miss three weeks of action but has returned ahead of schedule, although it is unlikely Barca will take any risks with the star.
