Mesut Ozil admits his goal against Ludogorets was a ‘little bit lucky’ as Arsenal star beats KSI at PES

KSI might be known as an expert on the virtual football field, but sometimes knowing how to operate on a real one pays dividends.

That turned out to be the case when the YouTuber sat down with Arsenal star Mesut Ozil to play a game of Pro Evolution Soccer.

In fairness to KSI, he is better known for his skills on FIFA than their gaming competitor, but he would not have expected to come away from a match against Ozil with a loss.

That defeat was courtesy of a goal from Ozil’s team-mate Alexis Sanchez in the opening 10 minutes of the tie. Both Ozil and KSI, who supports Arsenal, chose the north London club.

Amid the usual banter and back and forth humour from the two men, there was something of a revelation from Ozil regarding one of the best goals Arsenal have scored this season.

Asked about his goal against Ludogorets by KSI, Ozil replied: ‘I was a little bit lucky in front of the goal.’

Throughout, KSI struggled to deal with the Germany international’s talent on the virtual pitch. By the time half-time rolled around, KSI was becoming visibly frustrated with the midfielder.

‘It’s too easy man,’ commented Ozil as he went into the break a goal ahead.

He stayed in front throughout the game while KSI grew increasingly frustrated. He almost gave away a penalty on a number of occasions and was unable to equalise.

Arsenal take on Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
