The 28-year-old was on target in Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Swansea, and his manager wants the goal-scoring run to continue
ARSENE WENGER has urged Mesut Ozil to learn from his stunning volley and finally start taking more shots for Arsenal.
Ozil drove a blistering strike into the top corner to snatch the decisive goal as the Gunners beat Swansea 3-2 to climb to the top of the Premier League.
And Wenger believes it is time the 28-year old started to be more prolific in front of goal instead of always looking to pass to a teammate.
The German has often frustrated fans for his lack of shooting, and boss Wenger obviously feels the same.
He said: “It was an excellent goal, but he doesn’t take enough chances by shooting.
“In training he scores when he wants and the goalkeepers say how he is the hardest to read when it comes to where he is going to out the ball.
“I hope he takes confidence from that goal, and starts shooting more in games.”
