Former Nigerian international, Mutiu Adepoju has applauded Victor Moses’ performance in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Monday night in the English Premier League.
The wing-back registered his second goal in 19 EPL games this season to help ease pressure off manager Antonio Conte after back-to-back defeats to Bournemouth and Watford.
The former Liverpool player, Moses notched the second goal of the outing when he rifled home after Cesc Fabregas’ pass for Alvaro Morata fell to him.
Adepoju is upbeat that the performance from the former Wigan Athletic forward has sent a message to the Super Eagles’ opponents ahead of the Summer World Cup.
“Great game and goal from VictorMoses,” hero of three World Cup finals, US ’94, France ’98 and Korea/Japan 2002, Adepoju tweeted.
“He’s already sending shivers down Super Eagles’ FIFA World Cup opponents’ spine.”
Nigeria zoned in group D and will have to navigate their way past Argentina, Iceland and Croatia to book a place in the knock-out stage of the competition.
