NIGERIA winger, Victor Moses hopes to keep his good form and will not be distracted by the intesrest shown in him by Spanish giants, FC Barcelona.
It emerged last weekend that Barcelona were thinking of making January move for Moses following impressive reports submitted on the player by the club’s scouts who watched the Nigeria play for Chelsea on three occasions.
On Sunday, Moses who has won two Man of The Match Awards in two consecutive games told BT Sport when asked of Barcelona interest:
“Chelsea is my club, my home…where I come to play with my toys..I kissed the badge on Saturday, I love the club” said Moses, who got the winner in Saturday’s massive clash with top-four and title-chasing implication, which also consigned Spurs to their 30th match in a row without a win at Stamford Bridge.
Manager Antonio Conte had, before the match, asked Moses to stay focussed amidst Barcalona rumour and the player appears to be listening as he said “I’m pleased the manager has given me a chance to express myself. I just want to keep playing my football and enjoying myself when I am out there.”
Moses has now scored three times in 12 league appearances for Chelsea this season, prompting Conte to describe him as both fantastic and important for The Blues’ title bid.
Conte was quizzed by ITV about Moses’ great run of form and the Italian did not hold back in his words of adulation for the Super Eagles man.
“Victor is a good player. I saw him during the pre-season and I wanted to keep him in the squad.
“It is the same with Pedro, he (Moses) deserves to play.
“And he is playing some fantastic football for us. He is very important for us,” Conte said shortly after Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Spurs.
