NIGERIA forward Moses Simon says he would love to play in the English Premiership before he quits playing football. Simon currently features for Spanish LaLiga Santander side Levante CD.
Speaking on British Zen Television magazine programme, Simon disclosed that he has been nursing the ambition for a while because it will be the pride of his family if he laces his boots for an English Premiership side before his retirement.
Investigation conducted by Tribunesport correspondent revealed that Simon’s dad is a die hard football fan who loves the EPL.
The dad is not alone here as Tribunesport correspondent further gathered that the entire Simon family loves the English Premiership because of Nigerian players’ exploits in the English Premier League which they consider as one of the best in the world.
Moses’ dream of playing in England would have materialised by now having been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the past.
Liverpool practically showed interest in the former Gent winger before the start of the current league season.
The qualities of Simon, renowned for his blustery pace, directness and the tendency to cut inside, had appealed to Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp and his tactical set-up.
Simon was valued at £10 million by the Reds until the deal fell through. Eventually Simon signed a five-year contract for Levante on August 6, 2018.
