Antonio Conte says that Victor Moses’ performances are proving he deserves a place in the Chelsea starting XI.
The Italian manager singled out the 25-year-old as being a standout in the Blue’s 2-0 win over Hull City on Saturday night.
After returning from a loan spell at West Ham, Moses has played some role in every game for Chelsea so far this season, and is clearly on the cusp of cementing a first team position.
“I think Moses played an incredible game…in defensive situations and offensive situations because he is working very hard and he deserved to play,” said Conte after the weekend’s match.
“He showed me that my choice was right today. If he plays in this way and is fantastic [he can keep his place in the team].
“I think that Pedro can play in the same way and give you the opportunity to exploit defenders one-versus-one.
“We do not only want wing-backs who cross, but if we have a winger who is able to do this role then it is a great option.”
