Mourinho predicts Nigeria/France second round duel

Man Utd boss, Jose Mourinho has predicted a Nigeria versus France second round match at the forthcoming Russia 2018 World Cup.

Mourinho while predicting the group winners and runners-up for Russian broadcaster RT also chose England as group winners to set up a last-16 clash with Poland, while Belgium will face Group H winners Senegal.

The Portuguese coach, feels that two-time World Cup winners, Argentina will top Group D while the Super Eagles will finish as runners-up instead of either Iceland or Croatia.

Elsewhere, Spain will face Russia in the knockout stages as Uruguay face Portugal. It will be an all-South American affair as Brazil face Mexico while Germany take on Switzerland between the Group E and F winners and runners-up.

Mourinho picked Australia to advance from Group C over Peru or Denmark. If Mourinho’s predictions come to pass, a Nigeria/France cracker will be a repetition of Brazil 2014 World Cup where the Tricolors beat Eagles 2-0 in one of the second round games.
