Mourinho yet to agree terms over Man Utd deal, despite claim

Former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho has not yet agreed on a new deal to keep him at Manchester United until 2021, according to a report.

The headlines on Tuesday evening were dominated by the news that Mourinho had reportedly agreed fresh terms to keep him at Old Trafford until 2021.

The 54-year-old was linked with a shock exit earlier in the season, as French giants PSG were rumoured to be interested in his services.

However, The National claimed that the former Chelsea and Real Madrid chief had agreed to stay on in Manchester and was expected to officially announce his decision ‘in the next 24 hours’.

According to Manchester Evening News however, Mourinho is ‘yet to officially sign new terms’ despite reports and discussions are still ongoing.

The club does still apparently believe that an extension to his deal, expiring in 2019, is a formality. The Red Devils do have the option of triggering an additional year on his initial deal.
