Sissoko will face a three match ban for the incident which was missed by the referee and both managers
TOTTENHAM midfielder Moussa Sissoko has been charged with violent conduct over the elbow incident involving Bournemouth’s Harry Arter during Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The Frenchman was involved in an off-the-pitch scuffle with Ireland international Arter during the game at the Vitality Stadium.
Sissoko then appeared to elbow Arter as he stood up.
It may not have been on purpose but the cameras picked up sight of the 27-year-old’s limb clearly smacking Arter in the face.
Sissoko will undoubtedly face a three-match ban for violent conduct – as the incident should have produced a red card.
Arter said after the game: “I never want to see a player get in trouble if he didn’t mean to do it.
“After the game he apologised and said it was an accident, so I’m happy to take that as gospel and move on from it really.
“Hopefully he didn’t mean it and if he didn’t, hopefully he doesn’t get banned.”
