David Moyes, West Ham United boss
David Moyes is one of seven names to make the shortlist for January’s Premier League Manager of the Month.
The West Ham manager has been listed alongside some of the division’s big guns for the first monthly award of 2018 as a result of ending the month unbeaten in the Premier League.
West Ham secured a total of nine points from their five January outings, including wins against West Bromwich Albion and Huddersfield. The three remaining fixtures – against Tottenham, Bournemouth and Cryustal Palace – all ended in draws.
The sequence of results helped lift the Hammers away from the relegation zone and up into the top half of the table, albeit briefly.
The other managers shortlisted for the January award are Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Carlos Carvahal (Swansea City), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham), Jose Mourinho (Manchester Utd) and Eddie Howe (AFC Bournemouth).
