NBA announces rosters for 2026 All-Star Saturday night in Los Angeles

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has officially unveiled the rosters for the 2026 NBA All-Star Saturday Night, one of the marquee events of the league’s annual All-Star Weekend.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend tips off on Friday, February 13, in Los Angeles, California, marking the seventh time the city has hosted the league’s midseason showcase.

The evening will feature three competitions: the Kia Shooting Stars, the State Farm 3-Point Contest, and the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest.

The Kia Shooting Stars competition will showcase four teams, each consisting of two NBA players and one NBA legend. The teams reflect All-Star connections, school ties, team affiliations, and family relationships.

Team All-Star features Scottie Barnes (Toronto Raptors), Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder), and three-time NBA All-Star Richard Hamilton.

Team Cameron is made up of three Duke University alumni: Jalen Johnson (Atlanta Hawks), Kon Knueppel (Charlotte Hornets), and former 14-year NBA veteran Corey Maggette.

Team Harper highlights a family connection, pairing five-time NBA champion Ron Harper Sr. with his sons Dylan Harper (San Antonio Spurs) and Ron Harper Jr. (Boston Celtics).

Team Knicks includes Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks alongside two-time Knicks All-Star and Vice President of Player Leadership & Development Allan Houston.

The State Farm 3-Point Contest will feature eight sharpshooters, including five 2026 NBA All-Stars: Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets), and Norman Powell (Miami Heat).

Former champions in the field include Booker, who won the contest in 2018, and Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers), a two-time winner in 2023 and 2024.

Four players — Kon Knueppel (Charlotte Hornets), Maxey, Murray, and Bobby Portis Jr. (Milwaukee Bucks) — will be making their contest debuts, with Knueppel aiming to become the first rookie to win the event.

In the two-round format, players will attempt to score as many points as possible from multiple three-point locations within 70 seconds. The top three scorers from the opening round will advance to the championship round, where the highest score will determine the winner.

A new champion will be crowned in the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest, with all four participants making their event debuts.

The field includes two rookies: Carter Bryant, a 6-foot-6 forward selected 14th overall by San Antonio in the 2025 NBA Draft, and Jase Richardson, a 6-foot-1 guard selected 25th overall by Orlando. Richardson is the son of two-time Slam Dunk champion Jason Richardson (2002 and 2003).

They will be joined by Jaxson Hayes, a 7-foot center in his seventh NBA season and third with the Los Angeles Lakers, and Keshad Johnson, a 6-foot-6 forward in his second NBA season after splitting last year between Miami and its NBA G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

The contest will follow a two-round format. In the opening round, all four players will attempt two dunks, with the combined scores determining the top two finalists.

The finalists will then perform two additional dunks each, with the highest combined score crowning the 2026 champion.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will conclude the weekend on Sunday, February 15.
