Leicester City January signing, Wilfred Ndidi, says he is not happy having to lose his first home game after Chelsea visit left the defending champions in tatters of a 0-3 defeat on Saturday at the King Power Stadium.
Ndidi had a face-off with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, the player he is expected to replace and the young Nigerian gave a good account of himself until fatigue of a first-timer set in.
On his twitter handle, the 20 year old midfielder wrote: “Not the result we wanted but we continue to fight because it only gets better.”
The former Genk player played the entire game and in the second half was moved to the centre of Leicester defence but he was unable to curtail the rampaging league leaders.
Meanwhile, compatriot Victor Moses was in celebratory mood, thanking Chelsea travelling fans for seeing the team back to winning ways.
“Back to winning ways in the league, great team performance! Thanks to the brilliant travelling Chelsea support as always,” Moses wrote on his Twitter handle.
Chelsea’s 13-game unbeaten run was halted by Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-0 defeat of The Blues at White Hart Lane.
