The administrator revealed that the Flying Antelopes’ reception was moved to December to have all stakeholder present
Enugu State commissioner for youth and sports, Charles Ndukwe has disclosed that the desire of the state gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to have all the state’s stakeholders both home and abroad witness the grand reception of Rangers International FC informed his decision to postpone it till between December 19 and 21.
The hosting of the Flying Antelopes which has suffered series of postponement has now been fixed for December 19-21 at the Michael Okpara Square.
Ndukwe told Goal: “The Governor has decided that the reception will now hold in December and that either of 19, 20 or 21 will be picked for the occasion at the famed Michael Okpara Square in Enugu.
“The Enugu Government wants all the major stakeholders in the state and beyond to be part of the programme and it is appropriate it is put at a time all would be better chanced to be present.
“The players and the officials have tried to do the state proud after winning the league for the first time in 32 years and Governor Ugwuanyi is preparing the best grand reception ever for them.”
Rangers won their seventh league title recently and their first in 32 years after the demolition of El Kanemi Warriors 4-0 in the final game of the season at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu and will hoist Nigeria’s flag in the Caf Champions League next year.
