Neymar faces Manchester United fitness

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar fears he could miss his side’s second leg Champions League tie against Manchester United with a foot injury.

Thomas Tuchel all but ruled Neymar out of the first leg at Old Trafford this weekend, admitting it would be ‘very difficult’ for the Brazilian to return in time.

Neymar is believed to have sustained an injury to his metatarsal in his right foot and his absence in the first leg would be a huge boost for Manchester United.

However, according to reports in Brazil, Neymar may miss the second leg in Paris and faces a race against time to prove his fitness.

Reporter Isabela Pagliari claims Neymar is out for a ‘minimum’ of 30 days, meaning at best he will return to training in late February.

PSG host United in the second leg on March 6th and in a best-case scenario the forward will have less than a week in training to prepare for the game.

United face Burnley, Fulham and Leicester before hosting PSG and few will bet against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continuing his amazing start to his caretaker role.

The Norwegian has won all eight of his games in charge so far, putting him in the frame to get the job on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
