Neymar left out of PSG squad to face Montpellier

According to ‘RMC’, Unai Emery has decided to leave Neymar out of the PSG squad for the Ligue 1 clash against Montpellier this weekend.

The French media outlet says the Brazilian, who was recently involved in a penalty dispute with teammate Edinson Cavani, has been left out of Saturday’s matchday squad.

While there has been a huge amount of controversy surrounding the incident, the motive for Neymar’s absence is merely a sore foot.

It is understood that Emery was keen on resting Neymar anyway, to ensure he is in optimal condition for the heavyweight Champions League clash against Bayern Munich next Wednesday.

Although the news remains unofficial, there is no doubt Neymar’s absence would cause even more of a stir in PSG’s ‘penaltygate’…
