Neymar, Falcao and Fekir are all in the running for the award
The Samba star has enjoyed a fine start to the season since completing his record-breaking move from Barcelona, scoring four goals and registering four assists in just four league games.
That form has seen the player nominated for the award, along with Nabil Fekir and Radamel Falcao.
Despite his nomination, Neymar is not the clear favourite to take home the award, given that Monaco striker Falcao currently tops the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts with seven goals. The final nominee, Fekir, is less likely to win as despite enjoying a fine month, as his numbers pale in comparison to his rivals, with the Lyon man having scored just three goals and assisted another.
The winner will be chosen by Ligue 1 fans, who have until September 17 to cast their vote at ‘www.tropheesunfp.com’.
