The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has endorsed the recommendation of the Federation’s Technical and Development Committee for the appointments of assistant coaches of the Flamingos.
Former international defender Joy Jegede-Idakwo has been appointed as first assistant, with another former international, Aighewi Omodiaghe, as second assistant. Another former Nigerian international, Kola Ige, has been appointed as the goalkeepers’ trainer.
Jegede -Idakwo captained the U20 women’s national team, Falconets and then won several caps for the senior team, Super Falcons.

Omodiaghe was a member of the Nigeria U17 girls who featured at the inaugural edition of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals in New Zealand in 2008.
The three will assist Busari as the Flamingos seek a spot at this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals in Morocco and to surpass the third-place finish of the Class of 2022.
