The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has declared that the destiny of Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro rests in the hands of the football supporters in the country.
The interesting development was disclosed by Ibrahim Gusau, the President of the NFF.
The Portuguese tactician has faced criticism from football fans due to their perception of his limited technical acumen.
However, Gusau revealed that “We have the plan to push the votes to Nigerians to hear their views and thoughts,” while speaking on the LovingFootball radio show.”

Acknowledging the challenges faced in selecting the ideal candidate for the role, Gusau conceded that the organization had previously made efforts to recruit both foreign and domestic coaches. However, he emphasized that finding the perfect fit for the position has proven to be an arduous undertaking.
“We’ve tried the foreign coaches and also the local coaches.
“Maybe we didn’t get it right in the area of getting the right person. We are going to push it to the public, whether we should continue with Peseiro or he should go,” Gusau added.
