The KAA Gent player admits the Chipolopolo are a strong side but insisted they will bow to the Super Eagles in Ndola on Sunday
Nigeria International, Anderson Esiti has admitted that Zambia’s World Cup qualifier in Ndola won’t be easy, but insisted that the Super Eagles’ are ready for the battle.
The three-time African champions are scheduled to jet out of the country for their game against the Chipolopolo on Sunday, and the K.A.A. Gent midfielder says he is optimistic the team will return with a favourable result.
“We are raring to go and hopefully we get a good result against Zambia. It won’t be easy but we are also very determined,” Esiti told Supersport
“The team is working really hard. We respect Zambia, they are a good side but by God’s grace we shall make Nigerians smile.
“I was quite happy when I scored the goal even though it came as a surprise to me. Maybe it’s a good omen.
“It’s good to score but more important that the team won. The most important thing is the team’s success as that is all that matters at the end of the day.
“I’m really happy to be back with the team after a lengthy absence. If I get selected against Zambia I promise to give my all.
“Nigeria have many quality players so to be selected to play for the country is an honour. I’m grateful for it and I hope to make Nigerians happy. That is my goal and also the team’s.”
Nigeria are in the same group with Algeria, Zambia and Cameroon.
