CHUKA Iwobi, father of Nigerian international, Alex Iwobi, has predicted that tomorrow’s Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier between the Super Eagles and their Algerian counterparts, Fennecs, in Uyo, will be difficult to call.
The senior Iwobi told sports journalists in Abuja, where he came to give his son solidarity support while the Eagles camped in the Federal Capital before moving to Uyo for tomorrow’s game, that the match would be difficult, but expressed confidence that in spite of that, Nigeria would be victorious.
According to Chuka, the Desert Foxes were a very technical side, which needed to be respected, adding that Algeria had a lot of players playing across Europe.
“To me, it’s very difficult to call,” he declared, adding that, “Algeria is a team we need to give a lot of respect. They are a very technical side and they have a lot of players playing in Europe.”
The father of the Arsenal forward equally noted that the Super Eagles were a good side too made up of stars from all over the places.
“When you look at our team, it is a good mix of stars from all over the place,” stated.
According to him, “It is going to be a very close game but I see Nigeria winning; we are at home, we have a good coach, we have a good crowd.
“I see Nigeria winning the game; I am very confident.”
