The 18-year old scored twice in the Foxes’ 2-1 victory over Reds in the international cup on Saturday at the St George’s Park
Nigerian-born England U23 player, Layton Ndukwu scored twice in Leicester City’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League International Cup at St George’s Park on Saturday.
Harry Wilson opened scoring for the Reds just before half time through a beautiful header from 10 yards out, but Ndukwu’s 50th and 77th minute goals turned the game around for the Foxes, with the second goal scored from City’s half.
And the 18-year old has said that he was excited with his brace, adding that he was happy with his side’s performance in their comeback.
“Happy to grab both of the goals today in a 2-1 win against Liverpool. Pleased with how my team played #LCFCu23s.”
Neither side can qualify for the quarter-finals with Wolfsburg (six points) facing Porto (four points) on 14 December for the right to win the group, meanwhile Sheyi Ojo’s consolation wasn’t enough to earn a point for the Reds.
