NIPSS supports 22nd National Sports Festival

The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) has partnered with the orgnisers of the 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF) Games Scientific Congress.

The NIPSS Director General, Professor Ayo Omotayo, said that the partnership with the Games LoC in the staging of the Games’ Scientific Congress is to join in the quest to grow and develop a viable Sports Economy in Nigeria as envisioned in President Bola Amed Tinunbu Renewed Hope Agenda and the Presidential charge to the leadership of the new National Sports Commission (NSC).

According to Omotayo, this is the beginning of cooperation with the National Sports Commission (NSC) in strategically building a viable sports economy in Nigeria. He emphasised the need for adequate policy formulation and strategic policy implementation in the Nigerian sports ecosystem to prevent Policy summersault. 

Professor Ayo Omotayo added that he believes that the sports sector of the creative economy has to be allowed to contribute its fair share to the GDP.
