Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) on Sunday started the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League (NNL) on a good note after defeated Go Round FC 3-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
Gbadamosi Fatai opened the scoring for 3SC in the 16th minute of the game before Opeoluwa Olufemi make it 2-0 in the second half.
Olufemi eventually completed his brace in the 82nd minute.
Senator Kola Balogun representing Oyo South senatorial district who was present at the stadium advised the team to put in more effort in their games so as to make their fans proud.
Also, Ibadan-born philanthropist and proprietor of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Engineer Dotun Sanusi, donated a sum of N1 million to the team while urging them to brace up for forthcoming challenges.

He said: “I call on indigenes of Oyo State, home and abroad to also assist the team in order to achieve their aim in gaining promotion to the elite league.”
Meanwhile, the Oyo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr Seun Fakorede, presented gifts to the former chairman of the club, Olayiwola Olakojo (Baba Lankondoro) and Mrs Aina (Mama Shooting) for their total support over the decade.
Speaking after the match, 3SC coach, Edith Agoye applauded his team for a job well-done while Go Round FC coach, Abiye Tamunoiyalla faulted officiating.
“I gave 3SC 70 percent while my team, Go Round FC got 30 percent despite the bad officiating.”
