No favourites among Eagles keepers —Agu

Nigeria goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu has assured that whoever is in goal tomorrow against Algeria will be the best and he will acquit himself creditably.

Daniel Akpeyi, Dele Alampasu and Ikechukwu Ezenwa are jostling to be in goal in the absence of first-choice Carl Ikeme.

“The best on the day will be in goal for Nigeria,” said Agu.

“All the goalkeepers have been doing well at their clubs and they are not new to the national team set-up.

“Nigerians should be assured on all three goalkeepers because they are all tested hands and so there is nothing to be worried about.

“We will all continue to work hard and pray that on match day, God will crown all our efforts.”

Agu says he expects the Eagles to play a smart game to beat Algeria.

“Algeria are wounded lions and they will come all out, and so we have to play a tactically disciplined game and try to score an early goal so as to get the three points at stake,” he offered.
