Following the postponement of the Insurance/Shooting Stars Bet9ja Nigeria National League Week 17 league match earlier scheduled for Wednesday in Benin City, the management of the NNL has not fixed a new date for the rescheduled match.
The management of Shooting Stars had officially informed the NNL of the indisposition of their players after suffering food poisoning on Monday.
A letter signed by Lawrence Katken, Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, confirmed the postponement of the match due to official complaints from Shooting Stars and that a new date will be communicated to the parties involved.

The letter reads in part: “As a result of official complaint of food poisoning in the camp of 3SC with several of their players and officials affected thus forcing the Week 17 match between Insurance and 3SC put on hold.”
“We therefore urge the Oyo FA and request them to furnish the League body with the health conditions of the affected players and officials of 3SC to enable the League fix a new date for the match to hold.”
