Batshuayi has been forced to deny he laughed at Alvaro Morata's missed penalty.
The Belgian was filmed giggling following his team’s penalty loss in the Community Shield on Sunday but he has now insisted that he was not mocking his team-mates.
It was originally claimed that the footage, which can be seen below, was filmed after Alvaro Morata missed his penalty for the Blues, though that later proved to be untrue.
The video was actually filmed during the trophy presentation, with it rapidly picking up pace on social media.
The Belgian took to Twitter to deny that he was laughing at his team’s misfortune, saying: ‘Wow lol some people really believe I laughed at my teammate and/or us losing ? Sorry to disappoint but I wasnt.
‘Im enjoying every goal for us scored by anyone in the team, thats the only thing you have to know. have a blessed day (sic).’
