NPFL: Akinwumi tasks players, coaches to step up

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ist vice-president, Barrister Seyi Akinwumi has tasked players and coaches in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to step up performance by pushing themselves to do more this new league season so as to further improve the playing quality of the NPFL.

Akinwumi speaking in a chat with brila.net said it is very important for the players and coaches to change the narratives on them by pushing themselves go do more and give quality to the league in what they produce in playing and coaching.

“Sometimes you get the impression that the players who have the potentials don’t actually push themselves to reach that potential. It’s about you as an individual pushing yourself and the coaches too.

“The coaches really need to step up. I’ve seen a lot about the coaches and I think the coaches too can do better than they are doing. So hopefully this will be a stepping stone to a greater height.”
