NPFL: Bendel Insurance express readiness for Katsina United tie

Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin will be embarking on a journey to Katsina state this weekend to do battle with Katsina United Football Club in their first away challenge of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Benin Arsenals will be flying into the Northern state on Friday to honour the NPFL Match Day 2 fixture with Katsina Utd.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the Muhammad Dikko stadium in Katsina town. Kick off time is 4PM.

Insurance FC ended their first match of the season with Rivers Utd in a goalless stalemate in Benin on Sunday, September 8,2024.

The Chanji Boys of Katsina on the other hand lost their first match 1-0 to Plateau Utd in Jos.

The Sunday match promises to be explosive looking at the Match Day 1 results posted by both sides.

The captain of the Benin based side Meyiwa Oritseweyinmi is optimistic about the match day two encounter with Katsina Utd, saying that the boys are in high spirit and good to go to any battle.

“We have put the 0-0 home draw with Rivers Utd behind us and focussed on our trip to Katsina.

“I can say confidently that we are ready for the Match Day 2 against the Chanji Boys. We are in high spirit and good to go,” Meyiwa said.

Bendel Insurance team returned to closed camp immediately after the goalless draw with Rivers Utd in their opening match of the season at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin to begin preparation for the next clash which is against the Chanji Boys of Katsina on Sunday.
