Sporting Tribune reports that this will be followed by the Pre-Delegation Registration Meeting (Pre-DRM) and the Delegation Registration Meeting (DRM) needed for critical administrative procedures designed to ensure proper verification, documentation and confirmation of all participating states, athletes, and officials before the commencement of the Games.
According to a statement signed by S.A, Media, office of the Director General, NSC, Kola Daniel, the Pre-DRM will focus on the preliminary verification of entries submitted via the online portal, the resolution of discrepancies in athletes’ data, confirmation of sports participation by states and the briefing of State Desk Officers on accreditation procedures while the DRM will subsequently serve as the final confirmation stage for athletes and officials and will also involve the submission and validation of required documentation, as well as the issuance of accreditation clearance for all eligible participants.
“Accreditation remains a vital operational component of the National Para Games. It guarantees proper identification, access control, security management, and effective coordination of athletes, officials, technical personnel, media representatives, and other stakeholders throughout the duration of the event.”
The statement also added that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released its Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, to serve as the official Games Village for the 3rd National Para Games.
“In a significant development, the Commission announced that, following strategic collaboration between the NSC and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), the NYSC has released its Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, to serve as the official Games Village for the 3rd National Para Games. This support underscores the inter-agency commitment to ensuring a well-organised and athlete-friendly environment for participants.
“The National Sports Commission reiterates its commitment to delivering a world-class Games that promotes inclusivity, fairness, and excellence, while advancing the development of para sports across Nigeria.
“All participating states are encouraged to adhere strictly to the registration and accreditation timelines to ensure a smooth and successful competition.”
