Steadfast Sa'adatu seeks first win against Nasarawa in Northern Derby
THE head coach, FC Sa’adatu Amazon, Yahaya Ladan, has maintained belief in the ability of his team despite suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Confluence Queens in Lokoja on Wednesday.
While the Niger-based team is yet to pick a point in the ongoing NWFL season, coach Ladan stated that the spirit shown by his ladies is a proof of good things to come in coming games.
“My team lost again but I am very very happy and satisfied. What I saw is beyond my expectation. I saw what I did not believe,” he said.
He added that “I have seen the spirit of my girls, we are determined. We just need to balance little things.”
According to him, ”football is a tactical game and at the same time a technical game. In football, if there is no mistake, there is no victory.”
He stated that the goal conceded against the Lokoja-based team was as a result of the lack of proper communication between the keeper and the defender.
But he remains optimistic that his side will bounce back in their coming games which would be played in Minna against Edo Queens and Osun Babes respectively.
Meanwhile, Aluko Mariam restored Confluence Queens to winning ways after finding the back of the net in the first half.
.The Kogi-based team had their first defeat of the season against Edo Queens in the last week fixtures with a 3-0 margin.
Confluence coach, Tenimu Nayeshi said more goals would have been scored if his side were not in a hurry to score goals.
“The problem was anxiety. We had the chances but we threw them away.”
