OFFICIAL: Former Arsenal man Podolski joins Vissel Kobe

Lucas Podolski has ended his spell at Galatasaray to head further east, joining Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe.

The former German international has been officially unveiled by his new club Vissel Kobe, with the player referring to the move as ‘the beginning of my next chapter’.

The 32-year-old had spent two seasons in Istanbul with Galatasaray, after joining the Turkish side from Arsenal in 2015.

He also had an emotional send-off with the German national team, after scoring his final goal in the friendly against England.
